Hace un par de semanas estuve en Camboya y quería compartir algunas fotos del viaje con vosotros. No podía irme de Asia sin conocer Camboya.
Me llamaban mucho la atención los templos de Angkor Wat. Sin verlos ya me parecían una maravilla que no podía dejar de conocer y mucho más aún después de leer y conocer sobre el imperio Khmer que fue el que levantó todos los Templos de Angkor Wat en el siglo XII. Me sorprendió muchísimo. Se tardó solamente 37 años para su construcción. Hoy en día con las herramientas y utensilios que tenemos, tardaríamos 300 años. Me parece sorprendente.
Todos los templos siguen un plan numérico y permanecieron tragados por la selva hasta finales del siglo XIX. Me encantó el Bayon y sobre todo el Ta Prohm donde los árboles y las raíces parecen devorar el Templo. Ahí se rodó una parte de la película «Tomb Raider». Es espectacular.

Angkor Wat Temples seem like something wonderful to me and after read about the Khmer Empire that built all the temples on 12th century I knew that I have to go there to see it by myself. One modern engineer estimated it would take 300 years to complete Angkor Wat today but the temples were built in only 37 years by then. It´s amazing.
All the temples follow a numeric plan and they were consumed by the jungle. I love the Bayon & Ta Prohm Temple where the trees and their roots seem to devourated the temple. There was where «Tomb Raider», the movie, was filmed. It´s so amazing.

La comida me pareció espectacular así como la gente, súper amable. El hotel donde nos quedamos era súper bonito, también rodeado de vegetación. Por la noche se escuchaban los grillos, las ranas, etc…parecía que estabas en plena selva.
The food was delicious, same as people, very kind. The Hotel where we stayed was beautiful, with all the greenery around. By night you could heard the crickets, frogs…it seem that you were in the middle of the jungle.

Qué pasada estos templos de Camboya! Me ha encantado la lectura para aprender un poco más de este lugar. Muy interesante la parte relacionada con la historia y el cine ( alusión a Tomb Rider). Bss, Esther:)
No sabes las ganas que tengo de ir a Angkor Wat, qué pasada. Me he quedado flipada con los datos de los años de construcción 37 vs 300 alucino…

Wow, girl, how do you always get to discover such amazing places? The temples look incredible and the food must have been super yummy! I bet you had an unforgettable time there, wish I could go too!
